Facilitating Dialogue
Two-day workshop for managers
and internal/external consultants
June 7-8, 2002
Learn and practice the seven facilitator skills.
This course teaches you how to use a five stage model of dialgoue
so you can:
- Pre-empt problems before they begin
- Teach a group how to self-monitor (so you don't have to play
the 'heavy')
- Teach the group about group dynamics so they can begin to
facilitate themselves
- Target negative behaviors without activating defensiveness
or resistance
- Get a group to face facts and put hidden agendas on the table
- Build trust and dispel faulty assumptions that demonize the
"other side"
- Renew your faith in your ability and the group's ability to
break through the constraints of old mindsets and out-dated
biases
